Seafood Cabonara as seen on The Sportsman Channel.
Ingredients:
12-14 large shrimp. 4 tbsp olive oil. 1/2 cup diced Prosciutto ham. 1 tbsp smoked bacon. 1 tsp minced garlic. 1/2 tsp each of basil, oregano, thyme. Dash of salt, pepper and poultry seasoning. 1/2 cup white wine. 1/2 cup heavy cream. 1/2 cup cut asparagus. 1/2 cup smoked cheddar cheese. 1/2 cup jumbo lump crab meat. 2 cups pasta (your choice).
Preparation:
*Heat olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet.
*Add Prosciutto ham, bacon, garlic, basil, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, poultry seasoning and shrimp.
*Cook until shrimp becomes opaque or "whiteish" stirring occasionally.
*Add white wine and reduce by 1/3.
*Add heavy cream and allow to thicken.
*Add asparagus and cheddar cheese and allow cheese to melt.
*Pour over your favorite pasta and top with crab meat.
